Two days before the presidential election, photographer Francine Daveta will be showing a preview of her series "Patriots' Day" at ABC Wine Co. The project is based on photo-journalistic portraits of Revolutionary War re-enactors and the townspeople of Lexington, MA. This exploration of patriotism and the celebration of war in liberal, suburban America comes at an important time in our living history.
Opening reception will be on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Alphabet City Wine Co., 100 Avenue C, NYC, from 6 to 9pm.Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Patriotic costumes are welcome.
